Beautiful Jekyll
An easy Jekyll theme for a personal site or blog that you can set up on GitHub Pages without installing anything.
MIT Free for commercial and client use. Keep the license file; no visible credit needed.

The license in plain words
Use it for anything, including paid client work, change it however you like and even share your changed copy. The one rule: keep the copyright notice and license text with the code (for example the LICENSE file). You do not have to show a credit on the page.

Who it suits
Good to know: Works with GitHub Pages.
How to use it
This is a Jekyll theme, so it is not a single HTML file: you write pages in Markdown and Jekyll builds the site. It needs Ruby and Jekyll, or GitHub Pages on your computer, or a host that builds it for you.
- Start from the theme's guide. Open the GitHub repository and follow its install steps; most themes offer a starter you can copy in one click.
- Write your pages in Markdown. Each post or page is a simple text file.
- Publish. Free hosts like GitHub Pages, Netlify and Cloudflare Pages can build Jekyll sites automatically when you push changes.
- Keep the license. Leave the LICENSE file in the theme folder.
