The license in plain words
Use it for personal and commercial sites and change it however you like, but you must give credit to the original author. For HTML5 UP that usually means keeping the small design credit link in the footer. HTML5 UP says you can remove the credit by buying its paid Pixelarity plan.

Get the files. Download the zip from the official page.
Edit the text and images. Open index.html in a code editor (VS Code is free), change the words and swap the photos for your own, keeping the same file names or updating the links.
Check the license step. Keep the design credit link to HTML5 UP in the footer.
Put it online. Upload the folder to your web host with its file manager or FTP, or use a free static host. Our guide shows how to put a template online.
